The Balanced Audio Technology VK-90 is BAT’s reference single-chassis preamplifier, combining a fully balanced, zero-feedback design with a high-current single-gain-stage topology. Its second-generation transformer-coupled outputs are wound with Cardas OFC copper and shielded in mu-metal for exceptional signal purity, transparency, and low-noise performance.

Eight 6H30 SuperTubes form a powerful low-impedance drive engine, while BAT’s Unistage™ circuit amplifies the signal only once with no global feedback. The third-generation SuperPak power supply uses hybrid capacitor construction with silver-in-oil capacitors to reveal fine detail with natural tonal balance. The flexible user interface includes source naming, dimming and fading options, switchable polarity, and a 140-step electronic shunt volume control with precise 0.5 dB resolution.
